Had lots of conversations about this Theological worldview quiz recently, so I thought I would post it on this blog too. It isn't too serious, and neither is it flawless, but it is interesting and a good discussion starter. Take it here, and post your results in the comments below.

I just took the quiz again.
You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.

Although some of the questions are quite open to interpretation aren't they?....I wonder how they define "worship", "gifts of the spirit" and "supreme authority of the Bible".....
Yes... I ended up about 90% Weslyan interestingly. Don't quite know how that happened... and rather more Roman Catholic than my rejection of the Pope should allow. Still...

I did the test again after doing some reading about the theologans mentioned, and I came out differently this time...
You are neo-orthodox. You reject the human-centredness and scepticism of liberal theology, but neither do you go to the other extreme and make the Bible the central issue for faith. You believe that Christ is God's most important revelation to humanity, and the Trinity is hugely important in your theology. Hmm. Quite a broad range actually with the top four...although I've no idea who the theologians were so just put '3' for them. maybe it would change things but not that much I guess. What's interesting is i'm not exceptionally stron on anything...shouldn't that mean i'm a wooly liberal?! Very glad to see that fundamentalist scored low, though.

While some of this is correct some is quite wrong. I think this quiz seriously flawed. Different traditions understand certain terms to mean different things. Also, for many of the questions such as the importance of communion and different styles of worship are poorly formatted. I believe all of these things (worship, communion, teaching, etc) are important and no one is more important than the other. Further, worship, in my definition is all of these things.... our whole existence should be lived in worship as we demonstrate the love of Jesus to those around us. Anyhow... interesting quiz. I had never heard of Karl Barth and found his views and history to be very interesting.
