You might have spotted on the BBC website the new christmas poster campaign by the Churches Advertising Network continuing the revolutionary theme from the che guevara poster. There is a Q&A about it here. What do you think? Not your conventional christmas image. I am kinda liking it.

I thought the Che idea was quite clever, subverting every student's second favourite poster (after Marley). This one feels like a further play on the Che idea, so it's kind of one step removed. If it didn't mention the 25th you wouldn't know what it was. Interesting choice of face though - there's a sense of purpose, seriousness - a child on a mission. Quite an intriguing image.
Somehow I like this one more than the che one. The Che poster was great in concept - Jesus as the iconic and subversive revolutionary - but weak in execution. 'Meek, mild - as if' was a bit crummy. This one is less obvious, more intriguing and closer tied to the Christmas story that people know. Subtle is good.
